of Florida. Faculty, staff, and students are active in marine ecology,
fisheries, economics, tourism and oil bioremediation. The Center for
Environmental Diagnostics and Bioremediation (CEDB) is a small environmental

in the open ocean, estuaries, and watersheds, including bioremediation
and pollution studies, working with academic departmental faculty
in Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Studies. The Archaeology Institute
is active in marine archaeology and concerned with preservation of
intertidal and subtidal cultural sites, especially where there is
the potential for damage with oil cleanup operations. The Haas Center
and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) are active in economic
analysis of spill impacts, real and perceived, and are aiding businesses
